into the spring sky
i flit by
fluttering free
fancy me
polished nails
chasing puppy
dog tails
i say good-bye
to winter woes
forgive, forget
my old foes
worry not
about my follies
as I ride
city trollies
central park
the evening dark
warm and light
buildings bright
the air filled
with flippant glee
out for lunch
you and me
hitch the ferry
bask and bathe
in spring's
lovely
love parade
you and me
we'll take this thing
that we call spring
we'll laugh
we'll sing
we'll do everything
wear out Spring
and then let her be
to rest her mind
meet you next year
at the same time
