she fell
into a sea
of salt water, sun,
a deep blue pool
of eyes attached
to a gleeful man
with a grill
built into his
rusted tailgate
he saw her seeing him
invited her to share
his summer fare
splash
into apuddle
barefoot
two hearts
take a brave
step forward
into the
summer heat
